"Here is a photo of my uncle, Ken Behr, facing Howard Hughes. Jacqueline Cochran leased this plane--a singe-seat Northrop Gamma 2G--to Howard Hughes in January 1936. He used the plane to break the cross-continent speed record by flying it LA-NY US in 9 hrs, 26 min. (259.111mph) with a Wright Cyclone SGR-1820 engine. He is seen here in the photo after his landing at Floyd Bennett.."
