BIOGRAPHICAL BRIEF
Via email from Dave Lam, 11-15-04
Lucien Deneau earned his French Pilot's license on 8 September 1911 (license# 615), in a Bleriot. At the time, he held a military commission, and was probably a Captain.

AVIATORS OF RECORD
Via email from Jean-Pierre Lauwers - 12-21-03
There is a book available at the Le Bourget Museum with thousands of pilots names and their license numbers! I don't remember at this time how many there are, but there were more than 8,000 in it, I believe! So, all those names are to be found in it, but unfortunately I don't have ready access to it! For France alone, there are some 900 pilots who were licensed about 1912!
DENEAU ? I don't think I have ever heard of him!
Jean-Pierre
