MILITIA FLIERS PRACTISING
Several Expected to be Mustered
In by April 1.

MINEOLA, L. I., March 11.--Several aviators who are preparing to join the ...lon detachment of the First Battalion, Signal Corps, under command of Lieut. R. G. Bolling, have been practicing for about a month at the Hempstead Plains aviation field. A number of them will apply for pilot's licenses in a few days and be mustered in by April 1.
They use the Gallidet military biplane driven by a 100 horsepower motor and are being instructed by Filip Bjorklund. This afternoon Bjorklund and Louis A. Fenouillett, Jr., of Brooklyn, tried out a new machine and did some fancy flying.
Among those who are practising are Lieut. Bolland, J. E. Miller, Herbert Carroll, Louis A. Fenouillett, Jr., J. H. Stephens, A. Salmon, F. R. Dick, Walter Odell and Alexander B. Thaw.
