BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES.
via email from f Niki Kaftan, 12-12-07
Hello, Mr. Cooper,
Just saw that you posted the letter from my grandfather, Joseph Horner Jr., on your web site. I hope people will find it interesting in that he describes how airplanes were being built during World War I, and he mentions the Spanish influenza which turned out to take so many lives at that time.
In case you are interested, Joseph Horner Jr.was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1887 and died in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1960.

Hello, Mr. Cooper,
My sister and I thought you might find this letter and photo interesting. This is my grandfather, Joseph Horner Jr., who flew in WWI. And this is a letter he wrote home to his family during his training in Boston during WWI.
