Silvio Resnati segue nella tomba, a pochi giorni di distanza, il suo fratello di gloria Emilio Pensuti.
Era popolarissimo come Pensuti, ma negli ultimi tempi aveva accresciuto la sua popolarità in America, dove si trovava dall'agosto 1917 e dove le sue imprese furono ammirate anche da Wilson.
Nato nel 1883 a Cornate d'Adda, fu nel 2° Granatieri di Sardegna e cadde ferito al Sabotino; passò in aviazione e fu subito tra i primissimi. Aveva al suo attivo molti records, ma principalmente si era reso famoso per il trasporto di molti passeggeri, fino a 25, nel triplano. E' caduto durante un volo sul campo di Hampstead e gli sono stati tributati solenni funerali.

Solo ora giungono da New York queste interessanti fotografie delle onoranze tributate alla salma dell'aviatore italiano Cap. Resnati, morto in un incidente di volo.
1. Una piccola parte della folla immensa che assisteva alla partenza del corteo dinanzi alla stazione ferroviaria della Pennsylvania. Nel tondo: La salma trasportata a braccia dagli aviatori americani.

The Resnati funeral in New York

Just recently these interesting photographs have arrived from New York which show the honors paid to the remains of the Italian aviator, Captain Resnati, who died in a flying accident. The photo shows a part of the huge crowd that attended the departure of the casket from in front of the Pennsylvania railway station. In the round inset, the casket was borne by a group of American airmen.
