via email from Victor Sedrick, 6-22-04 My father, Arthur V. Sedrick, started flying small light monoplanes in the mid-30's in the Westchester County, NY area, and operated a small airport in Somers, NY, there for a time. His father, Phillip Sedrick, a Russian immigrant, according to vague family history, supposedly was an early aviator in the Long Island, NY area. As they are both deceased, I have been unable to locate any record of my grandfather's activities. Have you ever come across his name in your research? Any suggestions where I might look?
