Lt Thomas' full name was Georges Thomas. He is probably the one who obtained his French Pilot's license #846 in a Farman about 5 April 1912 (the dates on these records are not very clear).

FOREIGN OFFICER KILLED.
(FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.)
PARIS, Sept. 24.
     An army airman, Lieutenant Thomas, of the 24th Regiment of Colonial Infantry, died in hospital this morning at Bar le Duc from injuries received as the result of a fall while flying near Givronval yesterday.
