In 2008, Bev spent the Christmas Holiday in the
Jasper Park Lodge in Canada. While there
she met Santa Claus. He invited her to sit on his lap and tell him what she wanted for Christmas. She said,
"Santa, I am afraid that you really can't get what I want for Christmas this year. My husband of 50 years died
just about a year and a half ago and since then I have been very lonesome. What I really want is to find
somebody who will love me and spend the rest of my life with me." Santa was a bit surprised, but rose to the
occasion and said, "That is quite a big order, but I will do the best I can." The following year, 2009, it was Bev and I together who spent the Christmas Holiday at the Jasper Lodge. This time, Bev approached Santa saying, "You probably don't remember me and your promise, but look what has happened. I got the present you promised." Santa said, "Of course I remember you and my promise. I am really glad you liked your present." So, Bev and I had our picture taken with him and Mrs. Claus. It was a wonderful reunion and a wonderful Christmas. |
