Alexander Eaglerock Longwing - 1926
This photograph was submitted by BJ Sonstein who found it in the collection of her grandfather, Lyle H. Scott, which had been saved by his son, Lyle T. Scott. Her father, now 87, offers these remarks.
"In regards to the photo, the Gary Flying one, it was sent from the Eagle Rock factory that made the airplanes. My father sold their planes and the plant was owned by K. Don Alexander."
Editor's Note: I have tried to identify the plane, with the help of the entries on KO Ecklund's Aerofiles website. On the page for planes made by Alexander, Aircraft Mechanics, it seems to resemble the Alexander Eaglerock Longwing most closely. If anyone of you can identify it more accurately, please contact me.
