Alfred Koenig resides at Neue Krame 30, Frankfurt (Maine) Germany and is the holder of F.A.I. license No. 649 in Germany. He made his first flight November 26, 1913 at Nieder-Neuedort, Germany, and EB George Netzow was his pilot instructor. He was a pilot in the German "Fliegertruppe" before and during World War I. Between World War I and II he was a pilot in a German Pilot's association. During World War II he served in the German "Luftwaffe," attaining the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He is holder of Iron Cross class II and I; also the pilot's badge of Germany, Austria, Turkey and Bulgaria. He is a member of the German organization "Alte Adler" (Old Eagles).
