I'm trying to trace family and historical information regarding Frank T. Coffyn - aviator. He was one of the first team of six selected by the Wright Bros in 1910 and taught at the Wright Instruction Camp in Aiken, S.C.
I answered his request by sending a copy of the the Obituary of Frank which I had retrieved from my copy of the CHIRP, the organ of The Early Birds of Aviation, Inc. I did mention that I would be pleased to receive any materials, photos or stories, which I might use to enrich my page on Frank. Jim Santos responded with both photos and a fascinating news clipping. You may see them on Frank T. Coffyn's page by clicking on his name. Jim said he had received by chance a whole box full of photos, personal letters, etc. of Frank. He said he was trying to find any descendents who might be interested in the materials.
This then is an example of how interested parties may be able to find each other, to their mutual advantage. If you wish to have me add your request to this page, let me know.
